Hello and welcome

As an Osteopath I am interested in much more than back pain, muscles and joints. Consideration of other lifestyle factors that contribute to overall health and well-being are part of my holistic approach.
Through establishing a good rapport with my patients, I feel privileged to be a part of helping them to move forward and gain a better quality of life. I provide safe and comprehensive care to every patient and look forward to meeting and helping more patients in the future.

Remote consultations

For those that are unable to attend in person, I can provide remote consultations, either by telephone or video, with added flexibility of times offered, and at a lower rate to my usual appointments. These consultations are fully insured and approved by our General Osteopathic Council and the Institute of Osteopathy. Please see my fees page for further details.

Osteopathy is a regulated and recognised system of diagnosis and treatment within primary healthcare. All osteopaths complete 4 to 5 years of training and are examined and assessed to a very high level throughout their degree course.
Osteopaths are registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) https://www.osteopathy.org.uk/home/

Beyond the physical symptoms

As well as the physical factors that can contribute towards pain and illness, I have a strong appreciation for the potential influence of psycho-emotional factors. Stress, anxiety and depression can play a significant part. Often patients need someone to listen to their story, be empathetic and provide reassurance. This can be just as valuable and effective as the hands on part of treatment.
Each patient has their own struggles and story to tell and I aim to be there to listen and emapthise with my patients to the best of my ability.

Testimonials

Great professional friendly treatment at great value

After visiting several osteopaths without much success in the relief of my back and neck problems I discovered Louise Mallender. Louise is highly knowledgeable, ethical, and straight forward and the best and most effective osteopath I’ve ever seen. Louise treated my neck and back problems originally in a few sessions, with no pressure to have further sessions. I highly recommend Louise, she is professional with a genuine warmth and friendliness that allows you to feel calm, reassured and in good hands throughout the appointment. I continue to see Louise on a regular basis to relieve tension in my neck and an ongoing back problem.
